The Scouts are always planning new activities to add to their event calendar. Past outings have included rock climbing, skiing, kayaking, sailing, plus Alcatraz and USS Hornet overnights.
TRAIL TO EAGLE
Troop 31 has produced 117 Eagle Scouts, including three Eagles in 2017.

▶ First Year Scout Program
We work diligently with our first-year Scouts to guide them as they advance in rank from Scout to Tenderfoot, and on to Second class, with the goal of reaching First Class by the end of their first year in the troop.
ADVENTURE
Every summer, our troop attends Pacific Skyline Council’s resident scout camp, Camp Oljato, located at Huntington Lake in the Sierras. We also take at least one additional summer trip which in past years has included:
■ Philmont Scout Ranch, New Mexico
■ Emerald Bay Scout Camp, Catalina Island
■ BSA Camp Makualla, Oregon
■ Kauai, HI
■ Grand Canyon, AZ
■ Yosemite National Park
■ Northern Tier High Adventure, MN
LEADERSHIP
Troop 31 is a scout-led troop of approximately 50 scouts. The scouts plan and execute their meetings and events with guidance from the adult leadership team, which includes multiple Assistant Scoutmasters. Troop 31 also has adults with Snow Camping and Wood Badge Training in addition to Counselors for over 75 merit badges.
SERVICE
Troop 31 values service to the community. We participate in Glide Memorial Free Meals, Empty Bowls, Alpha Omega, Scouting For Food, Holiday Banner Hanging in downtown Los Altos, and a Holiday Toy Drive. Other projects include coastal clean-up, trail clearing, and Memorial Day Grave Decorating. In gratitude to our host church, we take part in Scout Sunday and site clean-up.
